## What it does on its own

**Acts on its own** · No — It works one request at a time: you type a question or pick a document tool, and it returns an answer, so nothing runs end to end without you driving each step.

> Enter Your Question: Simply type your question into the search bar. Receive Detailed Answers: The AI searches the internet, using its own knowledge and up-to-date online data to generate a comprehensive response.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/docs/what-you-can-do-with-ai-lawyer-s-online-research · AI Research page doc, 'Here's how to use it' steps

**Limits on what it may do** · Partly — Capability gating is limited to per-question controls such as the internet research toggle, which resets itself after one use; no role or tool permission model is documented.

> Internet Button: Activate online research for your next question with the Internet button. It turns off automatically afterward, but you can re-enable it anytime.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/docs/what-you-can-do-with-ai-lawyer-s-chat-features · Chats page doc, Chat's functionality section

**No code needed** · Yes — Setup is a browser sign-up with nothing to install, and even the team rollout is described as self-onboarding with no installations, so a non-technical buyer can start alone.

> Our self-onboarding process makes setup simple, with no installations or downloads required.

## Which models it runs on

**Its own model** · No — The vendor serves no model of its own: its privacy policy names OpenAI and Mistral AI as the processors that generate responses and analyze uploaded files.

> To answer your questions and analyze the files you upload, AI-Lawyer forwards the content you submit from our servers to the following third-party AI processors.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/privacy-policy · Third-Party AI Processors section

**You pick the model** · No — The vendor picks the model: its processors are named in the privacy policy and no model selector appears in any documented page of the app, so the buyer makes no choice.

> OpenAI, L.L.C. — Privacy policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy Mistral AI SAS — Privacy policy: https://mistral.ai/terms/#privacy-policy
> — https://ailawyer.pro/privacy-policy · Third-Party AI Processors section, provider list

## How you reach it

**In the browser** · Yes — It is a cloud app reached in a browser, with iOS and Android apps alongside it, and the vendor states no device-side installation is needed.

> Access our platform with a simple tap — on the web, iOS, or Android.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/features · Features of legal AI, Multi-platform card

**Public API** · No — The vendor states plainly that no public API exists yet and routes integration interest to an email address, so programmatic use is not available today.

> We don’t have a public API yet, but contact us at ailawyerapp@gmail.com for custom integration requests.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/faq · Developers & partners section, 'Do you have API?'

## What it costs to start

**Free tier** · Partly — New accounts get five queries or a one-day trial rather than a standing free plan, though the public template and calculator pages stay free without an account.

> Start Using: Enjoy 5 free queries or a 24-hour free trial after registration.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/docs/quick-start-guide · Quick Start Guide, Getting Started steps

**Self-serve signup** · Partly — An individual signs up with email, Google or Apple and upgrades in the app, but a company account only becomes a business workspace with the sales team involved.

> With assistance from our Sales team, your account will be upgraded to a business status, unlocking access to the company management dashboard.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/docs/company-onboarding · Step 2: Business Setup

**Priced per seat** · Partly — Consumer plans are priced per account by period rather than per user, while firms buy licenses that an admin assigns one per team member from the company dashboard.

> In your company dashboard, allocate licenses to other employees and manage your company’s storage by adding or removing files.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/docs/company-onboarding · Step 3: License and Storage

**Cancel any time** · Partly — The vendor documents in-profile cancellation and a no-questions refund by email, but App Store reviewers report being billed after trying to cancel, so the published path is not confirmed in practice.

> Go to your profile → My Subscription → Cancel Subscription. For help or refunds, email hi@ailawyer.pro.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/faq · Billing & account section, 'How do I cancel my subscription?'

## What happens to your data

**No training on your data** · Yes — Stored files are excluded from training by the vendor's own statement, and its processor agreements bar OpenAI and Mistral from training on submitted content.

> This storage does not train our AI, so no one else will be able to ask questions about your files.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/docs/quick-start-guide · AI Lawyer Overview, Storage Page paragraph

**Retention you control** · Yes — Chat history can be deleted permanently and set to clear itself on a schedule the user picks, and the FAQ says uploaded files are processed rather than stored.

> Deleting a chat from history is permanent. Also, you can set up automatic deletion with customizable time ranges.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/docs/what-you-can-do-with-ai-lawyer-s-chat-features · Pinned chats and History, Chat History

**Self-hosted** · No — It is sold only as a hosted cloud service: the onboarding doc rules out server installations and the quick start calls the product cloud-based on any device.

> This email will serve as the admin account, and no software downloads or server installations are required—everything operates online.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/docs/company-onboarding · Step 1: Registration

**Open source** · No — The terms claim the platform software as proprietary property and forbid reproduction or distribution without written consent, which rules out an open license.

> All content and intellectual property on our platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of AI-lawyer or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/terms-of-use · Clause 5, Intellectual Property

**Take your data out** · Partly — You can ask for your personal information to be deleted or corrected and documents are produced as downloadable files, but the vendor publishes no bulk export of chats, matters or workspace content.

> You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information at any time. You can do this by contacting us.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/privacy-policy · "Your rights" section

## Whether a company can buy it

**Single sign-on** · Partly — Sign-in works through Google or Apple identity as well as email, but no enterprise identity provider integration such as SAML or SCIM is documented for firm accounts.

> Register: Sign up with your email, Google, or Apple account.
> — https://ailawyer.pro/docs/quick-start-guide · Quick Start Guide, Getting Started steps

## A legal question-and-document assistant, not a case system

AI Lawyer is split across four working surfaces. [AI Research](https://ailawyer.pro/docs/what-you-can-do-with-ai-lawyer-s-online-research) answers a typed legal question by combining the model's knowledge with a live web search. [Chats](https://ailawyer.pro/docs/what-you-can-do-with-ai-lawyer-s-chat-features) hold longer conversations, grouped into folders per case, where files uploaded to a folder become context for every new chat inside it. The [Docs page](https://ailawyer.pro/docs/what-you-can-do-with-ai-lawyer-s-docs-features) carries the fixed-purpose tools: Agreement Summary, Compare Agreements, Create Agreement Light and Create Agreement PRO, plus translation and image-to-text conversion. [Storage](https://ailawyer.pro/docs/what-you-can-do-with-ai-lawyer-s-smart-storage) keeps the files, and can mount Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, Dropbox, Box or Notion instead of local uploads.

Everything is driven one request at a time. The research page describes the loop as typing a question and receiving an answer, and the internet lookup is a per-question toggle that switches itself off again. There is no docket, no deadline tracking and no filing: the free-standing [calculators](https://ailawyer.pro/tools) for alimony, child support, eviction timelines and statutes of limitation are the closest the site comes to case mechanics.

## Pricing is published in a blog post, not on a pricing page

There is no /pricing route; the URL returns 404 and the [sitemap](https://ailawyer.pro/sitemap.xml) lists no pricing or plans page among its 1,868 entries. The rate card instead appears inside the vendor's own market write-up, which states that AI Lawyer "is the AI-native option for the documents-and-answers layer at [$55 a week, $159 a month or $759 a year](https://ailawyer.pro/blog/legal-tech-companies), with half-price promotions running regularly".

The three terms buy the same product. The [quick start guide](https://ailawyer.pro/docs/quick-start-guide) says the weekly, monthly and yearly premium plans "all have the same functionality, the only difference is in the time range", so the only pricing decision is commitment length. Students and teachers get [half off](https://ailawyer.pro/faq) by choosing that option under Activate Pro, with proof of status possibly requested later. Storage is the one metered element: capacity is raised through a "Get More Storage" upgrade whose price is not published. Firms do not buy from the site at all, since a business workspace is switched on with the sales team.

## The free way in is five queries or one day

The homepage calls to action read Try for Free, and the [site FAQ](https://ailawyer.pro/faq) says "We provide a free trial for everyone" without quantifying it. The docs do quantify it: "Enjoy 5 free queries or a 24-hour free trial after registration." That is a sampler rather than a free tier, and it is the single most useful number on the site for a buyer deciding whether to put a card in.

What stays free indefinitely sits outside the app: a large library of [document templates](https://ailawyer.pro/templates) with download counts on each, and the legal calculators. Both are reachable without an account.

## Models come from OpenAI and Mistral under processor terms

The [privacy policy](https://ailawyer.pro/privacy-policy) names the two processors that do the generating, OpenAI, L.L.C. and Mistral AI SAS, and sets out the terms: they receive the request content and minimal technical metadata, not your name, email, payment information or account identifiers; they do not use the content to train their general-purpose models; and retention is "zero retention or up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, after which the content is deleted". A list of current providers is also offered on request.

On the vendor's own side, the quick start guide states that "This storage does not train our AI". Deletion is in the user's hands: chat deletion is permanent and automatic deletion can be set with customizable time ranges. Two things are published nowhere. There is no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 report and no DPA offered to customers, and there is no stated hosting region or residency choice, which matters because the operator is an EU company handling legal documents.

## No API, and the website embed is still unbuilt

Two consecutive FAQ answers close off programmatic use. On connecting AI Lawyer to your own site: "We are working on this feature." On an API: "We don’t have a [public API](https://ailawyer.pro/faq) yet, but contact us at ailawyerapp@gmail.com for custom integration requests." No MCP server, connector or webhook appears anywhere on the site, docs or legal pages. Integration, in the product's current shape, means mounting a cloud drive into Storage.

The one developer-facing artefact worth noting is that the site publishes API license and API terms-of-use templates for customers to draft with, which are template documents rather than the product's own interface.

## Who runs it, and what its store listings show

The [about page](https://ailawyer.pro/about) describes a two-year-old product built by a technical team with guidance from 70 legal experts, claims over 300,000 registered users in 60+ countries, and calls itself "a Polish\EU product". The App Store listing attributes the iOS app to the seller [AI LAWTECH SP Z O O](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ai-lawyer/id6449912521), a Polish limited company, which matches. The homepage carries NVIDIA Inception and Google for Startups badges and a Product Hunt product-of-the-day badge.

The user figures do not line up across surfaces: the about page says over 300,000 registered users while the App Store description says "Over 200,000 users trust AI Lawyer". The App Store page is also where the sharpest external signal sits, a 1.2 rating from a small number of ratings, with reviews alleging billing continued after an attempted cancellation. That is one buyer's account rather than a documented defect, but it stands against the FAQ's own cancellation path of profile, My Subscription, Cancel Subscription, and a buyer should test that path during the trial.

## Where it fits, and where it does not

It fits a consumer or a solo-to-small firm that needs plain-language answers, a summary of an agreement, a comparison of two drafts, or a first draft from a template, in any of many languages, on a phone as readily as a laptop. The folder-per-case chat structure and the cloud-drive mounting suit someone whose files already live in Google Drive or SharePoint.

It does not fit three buyers. Anyone who needs the product inside their own software is blocked by the absence of an API. Anyone procuring under a security review will find no audit report, no residency choice, no audit log and no uptime commitment, and the terms disclaim accuracy outright: the platform "is not a substitute for professional legal advice" and the vendor does "not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness" of the legal information it provides. And litigators should read the App Store reviews before buying, since the complaint there is that the assistant does not help build an argument.

## Keeping it current

These facts are re-checked against AI Lawyer's own pages and updated when they change. If you represent AI Lawyer, sign in and update the listing from your dashboard at https://agentsindex.ai/dashboard. The operations this site accepts from an agent are listed at https://agentsindex.ai/.well-known/agents.json — that catalog needs no key to read, and each entry states its own auth.
