Is the free tier really free?
Yes. The Listed tier costs nothing once your product is accepted, and we don't ask for a payment method. Free submissions are reviewed in the order they arrive and go live about a month, with a nofollow link. The free listing is a real listing, written to the same standard as every other.
What does Express ($9 once) buy?
Time and a link. An Express submission skips the free queue and is live within 24 hours of payment, and its link to your site is do-follow instead of nofollow. It is a one-time payment.
What's the difference between Express + article ($19 once) and Featured ($39/mo)?
Express + article is a one-time payment: everything in Express, plus a buyer-intent article about your tool and priority placement in your category (above non-priority listings). Featured is a monthly subscription that puts your tool at the top of its category page and in the homepage Featured band for as long as you keep it. Featured includes everything in Express + article.
Why is Featured monthly and the others one-time?
The lower tiers buy durable things: a faster review, a do-follow link and an article. Those don't degrade, so you pay once. Featured buys a position we have to actively hold open for you (the top of your category, plus the homepage Featured band). That's an ongoing service, so it's a subscription. Cancel any time and your listing drops back to whatever tier you'd otherwise be on.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes. Upgrade from free to Express or Express + article at any time, and add Featured on top whenever the top of your category is worth it. Featured is cancellable by emailing us. A one-time tier you've already paid for survives a Featured cancellation.
My tool is already listed. Can I still upgrade?
Yes. A live listing can buy the same upgrades from its listing page or your dashboard once you have claimed it: Express ($9 once) makes its link do-follow within minutes of payment, Express + article ($19 once) adds a buyer-intent article published within a few days, and Featured ($39/mo) puts it at the top of its category.
What does the article in Express + article actually do?
It becomes a deep, citable answer page on agentsindex.ai, written for a buyer weighing your product and structured for the way AI search engines pick what to cite. It is written in your favour and never says anything false. It carries a do-follow link to your site and links to your listing, so the pages reinforce each other. It is written after your listing goes live.
Do paid tiers buy editorial favor?
No. Tier sets how quickly a submission is reviewed and technical capabilities (do-follow link, category priority, top placement), and adds one deliverable on Express + article (the article). It doesn't change how the listing is written, what scope rules apply, or which facts the pipeline pulls from your site. The methodology page covers this in detail.
