Editorial Policy

The wall between editorial and commercial on AgentsIndex. What paid placement buys, what it does not, and how we handle conflicts of interest.

Last updated: April 18, 2026

AgentsIndex is a directory that accepts paid placements and runs a blog. This page explains the wall between the two. It tells you what paid gets you, what paid does not get you, and how to flag a problem.

The separation

Paid listings and advertising do not influence blog posts, rankings, comparisons, or collections. Editorial decisions are made by the editor on editorial grounds. Vendors do not see rankings before publication or pay their way into a collection where their tool doesn't belong.

What paid placement actually buys

Paid placement is a commercial product. It buys visibility, not approval. See /advertise for current options. At a high level, paying for a listing tier gets you:

  • Visibility. Featured placement on category pages, the home page, and relevant collections, clearly labelled.
  • Dofollow links where applicable. Paid tiers may include a dofollow link from the listing page to your product.
  • Claimed-listing controls. You can keep the content on your listing accurate through the dashboard.

It does not buy a blog post, a friendlier verdict in a comparison, or removal of a competitor.

Blog posts are editorial only

Blog posts on AgentsIndex are written for readers, not for vendors. Vendors cannot pay for a blog feature, a mention in a guide, or a spot in a ranking post. If a tool appears in a blog post, it is because the editor thought it belonged there. We do not publish sponsored content dressed up as editorial. If we ever run a sponsored post in the future, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored at the top of the page.

Conflicts of interest

As of the date above, Mathijs Bronsdijk (the site's operator) does not hold equity in, sit on the board of, or have an advisory role at any tool listed on AgentsIndex. Mathijs runs a separate consultancy that builds AI agents for businesses; clients of that consultancy do not receive preferential editorial treatment on AgentsIndex. If this changes, the relevant relationship will be disclosed here and on any affected page.

Affiliate relationships

Some outbound links on the site are affiliate links. When an affiliate relationship exists with a tool, that relationship does not affect whether the tool is listed, where it ranks, or what we say about it. See /advertising-disclosure for the plain-language version.

Corrections

Editorial errors get fixed. If you spot something wrong (a feature, a price, a claim, a quote), see /corrections for how to report it and what to expect.

Removal and update requests

If you own a tool and want your listing updated, corrected, or removed, email [email protected]from an address on the tool's domain, or from an account we can verify is linked to the product. We aim to respond within 48 hours. We do not remove listings to settle competitive disputes, but we will correct anything factually wrong.
