It organizes claims conversations around a shared case record

Hi Marley is software for property and casualty insurers rather than a general customer messaging product. The platform brings employees, policyholders, and service providers into a shared conversation and keeps the related policyholder context together. Its own platform description says carriers get a complete view while policyholders have a trusted route to their insurer, including shared history, role-based visibility, and multichannel communication. The current product scope extends from claims and service communication into claim intake, repair coordination, and involvement of outside providers. The platform overview illustrates a claim with policy details, photos, notes, insurer messages, and a repair-shop participant in one record.

The operational unit is therefore not a generic chat inbox. It is a claim or service conversation that can follow an insured through information gathering, estimate work, repair scheduling, and updates. Hi Marley says its systems can keep conversations, notes, and data synchronized with systems of record, and its integrations page separates lightweight use alongside existing tools from deeper integrations.

Automation handles recurring insurance coordination

The automation page distinguishes predictable work from cases that need artificial intelligence. Its described tools use configurable business rules, event-driven actions, routing, scheduling, and integrations to move repeatable activities among people and systems. The examples span first notice of loss, repair evaluation, rental selection, voice assistance, reminders, and repair completion. This is more than scheduled outbound SMS. In the AI and automation description, Hi Marley says Workflow Assist connects to Verisk XactAnalysis for property-claim activities, while Total Loss Assist coordinates downstream work through the Copart Seller Portal.

The AI layer also supplies summaries, reply suggestions, translation, voicemail transcription, message prioritization, and next-best actions. The vendor describes writing assistance as suggested responses and templates informed by the conversation. Its published terms make an important qualification: customers remain responsible for decisions, for defining the actions an AI Agent can take, and for reviewing output. The product is consequently suitable where automation has a defined operational route and employees retain authority for consequential insurance decisions.

Its integration claim is centered on insurance systems

Hi Marley names a set of insurance-core connections rather than a broad app marketplace. The FAQ lists Guidewire ClaimCenter and InsuranceNow, Duck Creek, Sapiens CoreSuite and ClaimsPro, and InsureSoft Diamond. It also claims more than 75 APIs and webhooks. The same FAQ says messages and attachments can auto-sync into claim records, and calls the architecture API-first. Hi Marley Connect is described as a browser extension that lets users access the service within existing workflows.

That approach allows a carrier to start with the communications platform before committing to a deep implementation. The vendor says a carrier can get value without an integration project, then integrate with systems of record when it supports business goals. It does not list consumer helpdesks, sales CRMs, or workplace suites as the main connection model. Organizations seeking a broad horizontal communications hub should confirm their required systems and the implementation path through the Order process.

Security controls focus on regulated conversations

The security material names SOC 2 Type II, role-based permissions, case visibility, redaction of text and images, compliant transcripts, and a case activity log. The security and compliance page says that transcripts can go to a carrier system of record and describes configurable access to cases. For text messaging, the site also describes opt-in and opt-out management, policyholder preferences, and consent logging.

The public terms add a DPA by reference, annual SOC 2 audits, and a restriction on language-model contractors training or improving their models with Customer Data. They also say customers may request a data export within 30 days of termination, after which remaining Customer Data is deleted or made inaccessible within another 30 days. Data location is narrower than a region-choice offering: the privacy policy states that the service and all user data are hosted in the United States, while also warning that data may be transferred elsewhere for storage and processing.

Commercial access is enterprise subscription based

Hi Marley has no public plan grid or rate card on its site. Its Terms of Service state that fees, capacity, and related limits are specified in an Order or statement of work. Subscription fees are invoiced annually in advance unless an Order specifies otherwise, and usage overages are invoiced monthly in arrears. This makes the cost dependent on the contracted package and any capacity dimensions rather than a price a prospective buyer can compare online.

The terms do describe evaluation-only Trial Services, but do not describe an ongoing free plan. The default subscription term renews for one-year periods and requires 60 days' notice of nonrenewal. Payment obligations are stated as non-cancelable and paid fees non-refundable. The vendor also says modular pricing can start with core messaging and add AI or translation modules later, but no public amount is attached to those modules.

Hi Marley is an established insurance software company

The operator is Hi Marley, Inc. Its privacy policy names insurance carriers and third-party administrators as typical customers and lists a Boston address. According to the company story, Mike Greene, Mitesh Suchak, and John Miller founded the company in 2017 after their earlier claims-software company Futurity Group was acquired by Aon. The company says it began with text messaging and later extended its product around claims workflows and insurance ecosystem coordination.

The homepage says Hi Marley has more than 130 customers, including 13 of the top 30 P&C carriers. That is a vendor statement, as are the published customer outcome figures and case studies. It is relevant context for a carrier assessing company maturity, but not a substitute for a buyer's own security review, technical validation, or an Order-level pricing and service review.
