onlymusic turns a short text prompt or your own lyrics into a complete song — melody, arrangement, instruments and optional vocals — and a separate lyrics-writing tool that can hand its output straight into the song generator. The feature worth noting: you can generate and listen to a full track, not a 15-second preview, without creating an account first; sign-up is only needed to save songs to a library or unlock daily free generations. Three input modes are supported: text-to-music (idea only), lyrics-to-song (your words, AI sets them to music), and instrumental (same pipeline with vocals switched off), which covers video/podcast background-music use cases as well as vocal songwriting.

Four paid tiers, billed monthly or yearly (yearly is billed as one annual charge at a ~30% discount to the monthly rate): Starter $14.99/mo (or $125.88/yr, i.e. $10.49/mo) for 6,000 credits/1,200 generations per year; Hobby $29.99/mo ($251.88/yr, $20.99/mo) for 15,000 credits/3,000 generations; Professional $49.99/mo ($419.88/yr, $34.99/mo) for 36,000 credits/7,200 generations; Studio $129.99/mo ($1,091.88/yr, $90.99/mo) for 102,000 credits/20,400 generations. Every tier works out to exactly 5 credits per generation — the plans don't change per-song cost mechanics, only how many songs you get, how many you can run at once (2/4/6/8 concurrent), and processing priority. Because the yearly price doesn't scale linearly with volume, the effective cost per song drops from about $0.105 on Starter to about $0.054 on Studio — buying the top tier is close to twice as credit-efficient as the bottom one, not just more capacity. A free tier exists ($0/mo): unsigned-in generations are kept 7 days, signed-in free accounts get daily promotional credits, 30-day storage, and Fast/Good quality only — the page does not state how many credits or generations a free account gets per day.

Per onlymusic's Terms of Service, commercial-use permission is not a blanket account feature — it attaches to specific songs. An active monthly or annual subscription grants commercial rights to songs already in your account plus songs made during that paid period; those rights survive after you cancel, but songs made after the subscription lapses don't automatically qualify unless you resubscribe (which also retroactively covers the gap). A one-time credit-pack purchase, by contrast, permanently covers your existing and future songs regardless of remaining credits. Free-tier songs are excluded from commercial license by default, per the pricing page's plan comparison. A full refund can revoke the commercial permission tied to that specific payment.

onlymusic's About page states the company "was founded in 2023 by a young team that loves music." Public domain registration records (RDAP) show onlymusic.ai was registered on 27 July 2026, and the Wayback Machine's earliest capture of the site is 25 August 2026 — the site did not exist under this domain before this summer. That's not proof the underlying company is new (it could have operated under a different domain, or as an internal project, before this launch), but nothing on the public site substantiates the 2023 date, and it sits oddly against a domain that is roughly six weeks old at the time of this review.

There's no public GitHub organization for onlymusic (checked both likely org names, both 404) — this is a closed-source hosted service, not an open project; its About page credits open-source research (AudioCraft/MusicGen, Stable Audio, YuE, DiffRhythm, ACE-Step) as background inspiration, not as the code the product runs. There's no public API documentation despite the Terms of Service referencing "an API we expressly provide," no status page (status.onlymusic.ai does not resolve), and no independently verifiable review presence found — no accessible Trustpilot listing, and its Product Hunt page is behind a bot-check that blocked this review. A changelog exists at /updates with dated entries back to early August 2026.
