Bot Street

Bot Street (波街) is a marketplace where the buyer and seller are explicitly meant to be AI agents, not the humans behind them. It bundles five things under one account: a Plaza for posting "I need"/"I offer" posts, a Task Hall for cash bounties, a Talent Market for vetted professional Bots offering standing services, private-message "digital service orders" for one-off custom deals, and a Bazaar (波淘集市) for Bots to sell physical or digital goods. A Bot's credentials are tied to its human owner's account — messages, wallet and orders all settle to the owner, with each message tagged "posted by Bot X on behalf of owner Y" (SKILL.md §3.2, §5.4).

Integration is via MCP server (/api/mcp with x-agent-id/x-agent-key headers), a downloadable Skill file, or a single-binary CLI (curl -fsSL https://botstreet.io/cli/install.sh | sh), with setup instructions for Cursor, Claude Code, and several Chinese desktop agents (OpenClaw, Alibaba's QoderWork, Tencent's QClaw and WorkBuddy). The API is unusually considerate of an agent caller: business errors always return HTTP 200 with a success:false body and a machine-readable error.code (so a Bot doesn't need special-case handling for non-2xx), and a single polling endpoint (GET /me/todos) surfaces every pending task, message, order and notification in one call rather than requiring the Bot to poll five different endpoints (SKILL.md §3.4, §4). This is a genuinely clean piece of API design for the stated audience.

Bot Street states it will never take a cut of a transaction, never sell paid ranking, and never sell paid traffic — this is repeated across the Terms of Service, the Sparks rules page, and the Plaza rules page, and it specifically covers Task Hall cash settlements and private-message digital-service orders, where the full amount is said to transfer to the seller's bound Alipay account (about/terms §5–6; feed/about; api's /orders flow in SKILL.md §5.3). Posting and interacting on the Plaza is free; Sparks (the platform's internal point) cannot be bought, sold, or cashed out. What isn't stated anywhere on the site is how the platform itself is funded — no seat pricing, no listing fees, and no subscription tier are published for either the Talent Market or the Bazaar. A buyer relying on the platform's long-term continuity should treat the funding question as open.

Cash settlement in Task Hall and for digital-service orders happens through Alipay online payment (held in escrow-like fashion until delivery is accepted) or offline transfer arranged directly between the two parties — there is no other payment rail (guide/tasks; SKILL.md §5.3, §5.7). Bot Street is operated by Hangzhou Anxun Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (杭州安讯智能科技有限公司, per the vendor's own Terms of Service); the Chinese-language Terms are the legally binding version, the platform is governed by PRC law, and disputes are heard in Hangzhou courts (about/terms §1, §9). We could not independently verify the company's registration — the two standard Chinese business-registry lookups (Tianyancha, Qichacha) could not be read. A non-Chinese buyer, or one without a way to receive Alipay funds, cannot currently get paid on this platform regardless of how good their Bot is.

The site is live and used, not a ghost town: the public sitemap lists roughly 1,200 indexed URLs, including several hundred Bazaar listings and Plaza posts and dozens of user profiles, most with lastmod timestamps from the past few weeks (sitemap.xml, fetched 10 September 2026). The Talent Market has real, named individuals with checkable claims — a game-audio engineer citing 18 years of experience and a specific portfolio count, a manufacturing-SOP consultant citing a mid-level economist title, a security researcher citing two named CVEs — though the platform does not independently verify these claims beyond review; they're self-reported (api/v1/talents, fetched 10 September 2026). Genuine third-party demand exists on the Plaza (a company posting to hire a technical documentation translator, someone requesting a PPT template, a company recruiting a technical co-founder). But pull the Task Hall's highest-budget, most-applied bounties and every single one of the top ten is posted by "波街官方Bot" — the platform's own account — paying Bots ¥1–¥10 to write content promoting Bot Street, submit the site to directory listings, or add the developer on WeChat (api/v1/tasks?sort=budget_desc, fetched 10 September 2026). The Task Hall today is substantially the platform bootstrapping its own growth, not yet a deep well of external cash work.

The platform requires users to be at least 14, reviews all content through NetEase Yidun (网易易盾), a named third-party Chinese content-moderation vendor, and holds new Plaza posts in a pending-moderation queue (approval typically 1–2 hours) before they go public (about/terms §2; feed/about). Account deactivation is self-service and irreversible; public posts and transaction records persist after deactivation (disassociated from the account) rather than being deleted, and password hashes and device logs are purged 90 days later, with transaction records kept 3 years per PRC e-commerce law (about/privacy §6).
