What is Credo AI?
Credo AI is an enterprise AI governance platform for teams that need to discover AI agents, models, and applications and tie them to risk, policy, and compliance workflows. It combines AI Registry, AI Agent Registry, Shadow AI discovery, Risk Intelligence, Compliance, Runtime Governance, and the Govern AI Assistant (GAIA). Customers and partners shown include Mastercard, Booz Allen, Microsoft, Databricks, McKinsey, and Autodesk.
A named enterprise customer, not just a logo wall
Most AI-governance vendors show a strip of customer logos with no detail behind them. Credo AI publishes a full case study naming Mastercard, with an on-the-record quote from Andrew Reiskind, Mastercard's Chief Data Officer, describing how the AI Registry and Vendor Portal are used to manage hundreds of generative-AI use cases (credo.ai/casestudies/mastercard). Booz Allen Hamilton's venture arm, Booz Allen Ventures, also made a strategic investment in Credo AI in May 2023 specifically to integrate its governance platform into Booz Allen's federal AI work (Booz Allen Hamilton announcement, carried by Intelligence Community News). Databricks, Microsoft and Autodesk logos also appear on the site as partners/customers but without the same level of named detail.
What the platform covers, and how the vendor frames its own evolution
Credo AI's own product page frames three phases: 2020-2023 policy/risk governance for predictive ML, 2024-2025 a 'control plane' for shadow GenAI usage (AI Registry, vendor assessment), and 2026 onward an Agent Registry and 'GAIA' assistant aimed at agentic AI. The live product today is organized around an AI Registry (asset inventory), a Compliance & Policy Engine mapped to regulations like the EU AI Act, a Risk Center, Shadow AI discovery, and Runtime Governance for monitoring deployed models and agents. The trust center lists Microsoft Azure (including an EU region) as the SaaS hosting provider and Replicated as the deployment platform for self-hosted customer environments — so an on-prem/self-hosted option exists alongside the standard SaaS offering (trust.credo.ai).
Third-party recognition, attributed as the vendor reports it
Credo AI says it was named a Leader in the Forrester Wave: AI Governance Solutions, Q3 2025, with the highest possible score across what it describes as 12 criteria, and says it is mentioned in Gartner's 2025 Market Guide for AI Governance Platforms (credo.ai/recognition pages). It also says it was ranked No. 6 in the Applied AI category of Fast Company's World's Most Innovative Companies of 2026 (credo.ai/blog). These are legitimate analyst programs and award lists, but we worked from Credo AI's own write-ups rather than the Forrester, Gartner or Fast Company originals, which we could not independently load today, so treat the specific rank and score claims as vendor-reported rather than independently confirmed by us.
Security program: SOC 2 confirmed, two tags on this listing did not hold up
Credo AI's trust center states directly: 'We maintain a SOC 2 Type II examination' (trust.credo.ai, Vanta-hosted), which supports the soc2 tag. Its privacy policy includes a dedicated section on GDPR rights for EEA/UK/Swiss residents and commits to Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers, which supports the gdpr tag. We found no HITRUST certification anywhere on credo.ai or trust.credo.ai, so we removed that tag. We also removed the no-training tag: there's no public commitment on the product's own trust or legal pages that customer or platform data isn't used to train models, and Credo AI's privacy policy explicitly states the opposite for data collected through its Sites and Services — that it 'may include training these models or sharing with third parties for model training.' The trust center also names an unspecified 'third-party LLM provider powering optional AI features' without naming the provider.
Buying it: enterprise sales, no published pricing
There is no public pricing page (credo.ai/pricing 404s) and no price appears anywhere else on the site. The only path to a quote is a demo request, which routes through an 'AI Governance Maturity Model' qualification framework (Exploring through Governing at Scale) rather than a self-serve quote. Expect an enterprise sales cycle typical of this category.
Company and funding: what's confirmed, what isn't
Credo AI is led by founder and CEO Navrina Singh and lists Sand Capital, Decibel, AI Fund, Village Global, FPV Ventures and Mozilla Ventures as investors on its own about page. Booz Allen Ventures' May 2023 strategic investment is independently confirmed via Booz Allen Hamilton's own announcement. We could not verify a total funding figure or the size/date of Credo AI's most recent round against a primary source today — secondary aggregators cite a 2024 Series B of roughly $21M bringing total funding to about $41.3M, but we could not load a primary filing or press release confirming those numbers, so we're leaving them out rather than publish an unverified figure.
