The short answer

Arcade.dev fits developers whose agents call services like Google, Slack and GitHub without building sign-in plumbing, with a free plan and a Team plan from $25 a month plus usage. AgentQL fits developers pulling data from websites that keep changing, with a free Starter plan and Professional at $99 a month. Chroma fits developers who need search for AI apps that runs locally or in the cloud, at $0 a month on Starter and $250 a month on Team.

The picks

Arcade.dev

Arcade.dev says it is a secure runtime for agent sign-in, tools and execution. Agents connect to services through delegated account access with scoped permissions, and the vendor says tokens are never exposed. Prebuilt tools cover Google, Slack, Salesforce, GitHub and more, so agents call real services directly. The Free plan includes 2,000 tool calls a month, and Team costs $25 a month plus usage. Enterprise is priced on request, so larger rollouts start with sales.

AgentQL

AgentQL uses queries to extract data and automate actions on sites whose pages change. Its software kit works with Playwright and GitHub, so automation fits into an existing codebase. A browser-based debugger with remote browser sessions helps find failures on specific pages. Starter costs $0 a month and Professional $99 a month, with no plan between, so leaving the free plan costs $99 a month.

Chroma

Chroma is search infrastructure for AI apps, running from local to cloud with metadata filtering. It offers vector search for meaning-based retrieval and sparse, lexical search for exact terms, so developers can tune result quality for production. Starter is $0 a month and Team is $250 a month, a large first step for a small project.

AgentMail

AgentMail is an email API for AI agents that read, reply to and organize email threads. Developers create agent inboxes through the API and send threaded replies, so an agent keeps context across a conversation. AgentMail says it supports 3,000 to 150,000 emails a month. Free is $0 a month, Developer $20 a month and Startup $200 a month. The free plan holds 3 inboxes and Startup 150, so more inboxes means a paid plan.

Apify

Apify runs web data automation with Actors, proxies and integrations, for teams extracting web data at scale. Apify says its store holds more than 30,000 ready-made Actors for scrapers, automations and AI data pipelines. Developers can also build their own, deploy them in Apify Cloud and run them through the API or as real-time APIs with Actor Standby. There is a free plan, and the first paid plan, Starter, costs $19 a month. Custom plans are priced on request, so the largest teams start with sales.

Braintrust

Braintrust turns production traces into evaluations. It captures every prompt and response, so teams can debug production behavior and compare runs, then measures quality with automated and human scoring before release. It fits AI engineering teams catching regressions before they ship. Starter is $0 a month and the next plan, Pro, is $249 a month, a steep step for a solo developer.

AUTOMATER.ai

AUTOMATER.ai keeps a local, searchable library of AI-agent sessions from 9 providers, so developers can revisit prompts, outputs and context in one place. It works with 41 AI apps and command-line tools and indexes 45 session formats. It fits developers tracking agent sessions across many tools. Automater Lite is free, and Automater Pro costs $50 a year, billed annually, with no monthly plan.

ClineFlow

ClineFlow is open-source, Git-native project memory for AI coding agents. It keeps five compact ledgers (goals, specification, verification, last session and timeline) so an agent can orient itself quickly. It fits developers and small teams running more than one coding agent against the same repository. It is free and self-hosted, with no paid tier or hosted service, so you install and maintain it yourself.

What to check before you buy

  • Where the free plan stops. AgentMail’s free plan holds 3 inboxes. AgentQL, Braintrust and Chroma go from free straight to $99, $249 and $250 a month.
  • How your agent signs in to other services. If agents act in Google, Slack or GitHub, check who handles sign-in and token storage. Arcade.dev covers this with scoped access.
  • Fit with your code. AgentQL’s software kit works with Playwright and GitHub. AgentMail is itself an email API, and Apify, Arcade.dev, Braintrust and Chroma offer one.
  • Hosted or self-run. ClineFlow is self-hosted only, AUTOMATER.ai keeps its library local and Chroma runs from local to cloud.
  • Billing period. AUTOMATER.ai Pro costs $50 a year, billed annually; the other paid plans here are quoted by the month.
